A place for the simple event app

Joi Event App 1200x306
So this blog is all about Joi, but for a reason. We felt there was a gap in the event app market, we would love to know if you agree.

The Gap

Event apps are great. Every year there are new features available, new ways to network, to engage and gamify the attendee experience. There are also new ways to collect data, to gain a deeper understanding of your audience. But all this comes a a price, in both time and hard cash which puts the  app out of reach for most events. In fact, in our estimation, apps are used on less than 5% of events

The other 95%

The other 95% of events still need to share programs or agendas, being able to instantly communicate with the audience would be handy and then there is feedback; Be it from customers or employees you invariably want some feedback. As there has been no real alternative we have resorted to paper for programs and feedback [more fiddly work!] and speaking in a loud voice for communication!

Filling the gap with simple

If we are going to replace paper and vocals with an app it has to be really simple. Event planners don't want another piece of complicated tech. Ideally, creating the event app should be easier and quicker than printing an agenda and feedback forms. Oh... and cheaper!

We think we have made simple, but it's your opinion that counts.

So we have made the Joi event app. Its part of the monthly subscription so essentially it's free. It does all those simple things, publishes your program, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors, sends push notifications, allows for custom feedback and you can set up an app in a couple of minutes.

Your opinion

We think we have filled the gap but what do you think?

Give the Joi event app a try and let use know your thoughts.
